The Deckhouse

The Deckhouse offers spacious four bedroom (all en-suite) self catering accommodation in Norfolk sitting in a sought after location on Back Lane in Blakeney, just a short stroll to The Quay. The property has wonderful open plan living space, a superb large enclosed garden and plenty of private off road parking. The owners are also happy to accept well behaved dogs so long as they stick to the house rules! This detached property is built in the traditional Norfolk brick and flint and flawlessly blends modern style and practicality with traditional architecture.

Guests enter The Deckhouse from the large gravelled parking area in to a good sized open hallway that leads in to the fantastic open plan room which acts as the properties main living space. This giant room’s ceiling is open up to the eaves giving it a wonderfully light, bright and airy feel. At one end the kitchen is very well equipped with a brushed stainless steel range cooker, large fridge-freezer, integrated dishwasher and all of the other mod cons you would expect in a high end holiday home.

Next to the kitchen area is the large oak dining table that will comfortably seat eight people and then the sitting area with two comfortable sofa’s and a wall mounted LCD T.V. with FreeSat. Just of this sitting area is the fabulous ‘Sun Room’ where our guests will find further comfy seating, perfect for unwinding on summers evening or simply sitting and taking in the warmth of the sun. French Doors open from the ‘Sun Room’ out on to the large patio area of the garden which has another table and chairs for al-fresco dining.

The Deckhouse features a second sitting room or ‘T.V. room’. This room has a whopping wall mounted LED T.V. with FreeSat as well as a vast selection of DVD’s and boardgames making it the perfect space to keep children happily occupied for hours on end or for quiet evenings in enjoying your favourite movies.

There are two bedrooms on the ground floor of The Deckhouse. The master suite, set off a second hallway is a very large room with a 6ft bed and en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has a zip and link bed which can be made up as either a king size double or twins on request and has an en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath. There is also a handy utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a separate W.C. on the ground floor of The Deckhouse.

Up the stairs there are two further bedrooms off a light hallway. The first is another duel aspect, king size zip and link room with en-suite shower room and the other is set as a twin room and again has its own en-suite shower room. Please note: we need at least two weeks notification on your preferred configuration of the zip and link beds.

The garden at The Deckhouse is superb; fully enclosed and a real suntrap. It is a really good size for Blakeney and split in to a large area laid to lawn and a patio with an outdoor table and chairs and BBQ.
