Those amongst you who are familiar with Blakeney Village in North Norfolk will know there is a hidden gem of a property tucked away opposite the church with commanding views of the coast line; Friary Farm. The owners of this wonderful brick and flint building with medieval origins, have fully renovated the two small cottages in the courtyard there. Friary Cottage and Courtyard Cottage are accessed by a long tree lined drive past the discreet and beautifully kept Caravan Park.
Courtyard Cottage offers comfortable accommodation for couples looking to enjoy the all of the attractions that Blakeney and the stunning North Norfolk coast have to offer. It has a gorgeous private strip of garden across the courtyard from the cottage which leads to a larger lawned area which in turn leads to an ancient brick and flint archway from which there are beautiful views of the estuary and out to sea. There is a footpath that leads to Blakeney Quay and all of its amenities about a five minute stroll away. From here you can access the coastal path for great walks with no need to jump in the car.

The open plan downstairs incorporates a comfy sitting area with leather sofas and arm chair, a large LED TV with Freeview and DVD and an electric ‘woodburner’ sitting in the old fireplace. The newly fitted integrated kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and halogen hob, dishwasher and microwave and the dining area has a glass top table and four chairs. There is also a good sized, newly installed shower room on the ground floor. Courtyard Cottage has use of a machine machine and tumble dryer that are in an out building across the courtyard.
Upstairs there is a large bedroom with dual aspect windows giving a light and bright feel, this bathroom has a handy en-suite toilet and basin. The second room upstairs has plenty of storage and a pretty little daybed. This room can be used as a dressing room, a lovely quite place to sit with a good book or as a single bedroom. If you wish the daybed to be made up for use as a single bed please do give us at least 2 weeks notice. There is a £50 charge to cover the costs of having this made up.
All in all Courtyard Cottage is a really charming bolt-hole in a lovely quiet location. It sits away from the hustle and bustle of this busy little village on the North Norfolk coast but close to all the activities it has to offer! The gardens and the views from the gardens really set this property apart… in the Spring and Summer they are an absolute joy!
Please note: The washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the out building in the courtyard of Friary Farm Caravan Park.
No dogs permitted at the property.
*£75 Security deposit will be ring-fenced during your stay and released on departure.
