This quaint bolthole makes an ideal romantic retreat for couples or a special home from home for a family of three. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated to maintain many of the original architectural features whilst bringing the property up to date.

This comfortable yet historic cottage oozes character; from the homely fireplace in the sitting room to all of the wonderful exposed woodwork throughout. The ground floor has been opened up into one spacious kitchen/dining/sitting room, creating a real sense of space. In the sitting area there is a leather two-seater sofa and two comfortable arm chairs, all arranged around the original fireplace which houses a modern wood burning stove, just perfect for snuggling up on those cosy winter nights in. There is a large LED ‘Smart’ TV with built-in Freeview and a bookcase filled with a collection of good reading material.

The shaker style kitchen is very well equipped with an oven, halogen hob with built-in extractor, fridge and a half size dishwasher all integrated beneath a lovely hard wood work tops. Next to the kitchen area is a good-sized table that can seat up to 4 people.

Upstairs the delightful original cottage staircase opens on to a light and bright hallway with a large and eclectic collection of books next to two comfy occasional chairs. (please note: the traditional Norfolk winder staircase is particularly steep and is not suitable for the less mobile)

Off this hallway are 2 beautifully decorated bedrooms, one king size and one single room decorated in pastel colours, and a modern shower room with a large drencher head shower. Please note due to the age of this property, the floors upstairs are uneven.

Sitting down one of the prettiest ‘lokes’ in the delightful coastal village of Blakeney, 52 High Street is a perfect base for exploring everything North Norfolk has to offer. The cottage is just a few steps from Blakeney’s famous quayside with access to the coastal path in Blakeney with its magnificent bird activity and saltmarshes is just a stone throw away.
