Celebrate the Countryside in North Norfolk
Enjoy classic countryside entertainment with a beautiful backdrop in North Norfolk at Holkham Country Fair. It offers two days of activities for visitors who enjoy all things rural.
The event has been running every other year since the 1970s and is a hotspot for visitors to the local area.
Every year the grounds are transformed into a temporary village for the event. Sarah Green, 47, from Holkham, is an Event Organiser at Holkham Country Fair.
“Enjoy a full family day out with Grand Ring entertainment and Showground events. There are trade stands for shopping, the Woodforde’s Food Village for nibbling and the opportunity to have a go at countryside pursuits.”
Fun-Filled Activities
If you’re feeling daring, try the new zip wire ride, or get inspired by expert cooking shows in the cookery demonstration tent. You can also get acquainted with a variety of animals, including birds of prey and exotic species.
Give clay pigeon shooting and archery a go, or try out the crossbows and catapults. Take part in the Countryman’s Walk to learn about pole lathe turning, blacksmithing and more.
“Attractions also include displays of military and historic vehicles, dog agility and much, much more. Holkham Country Fair is a true celebration of Norfolk country life and offers a full day of family fun for all.”
Discover hundreds of trade and craft stands selling a variety of goods, from clothing to homeware. It’s an unmissable opportunity for shopaholics and those interested in local crafts. Children will have just as much fun at the fairground, with traditional rides including a carousel, Helter Skelter and Ferris wheel.
“It’s suitable for anyone from the youngest child to the oldest grandparent – there’s something for everyone.”
The Grand Ring
Experience an incredible line-up of acts in the Grand Ring – the main performance area. On Sunday, see the world famous Red Arrows perform spectacular routines. Time will fly at the fair, with plenty of exciting things to see and do.
“Grand Ring entertainment includes The Band of The Parachute Regiment, Jump4Heroes parachute jumpers, Allcomers’ dog racing, falconry demonstrations and a gundog display.”
